What is the goal of this project?
To help professional software engineering refresh or expand their knowledge of basic software engineering principles.
How can you participate?
You can join the group by requesting an Observer role in this project and/or subscribing to the project mailing list.

We do the following each week:

  • The discussion leader selects a technical paper
  • Everyone reads the paper
  • The leader provides a summary, and everyone discusses the paper

To fully participate, you need to be a member of ACM and/or IEEE Computer Society so that you can access on-line copies of the technical papers.

If you would like to lead a discussion one week, or if you have difficulties accessing technical papers, please email jrobbins@tigris.org.

What is the scope of this project?
Over the course of a year, the papers covered will be roughly the same as the required reading for a Masters degree in Software Engineering.
What is the status of this project?
It has been inactive for many months, but now we have enough people to make it a success. We will start discussing readings again in mid-June, 2003.
